Queensway and Cranleigh Community come together, easing out of Lockdown, to plant an Orchard Space

Waverley Borough Council, with the help of their contractors Continental, COPSE, Cranleigh Scouts Troop, residents from Queensway and Cranleigh School planted a small apple orchard and a 30m section of native hedge, to restore a derelict garden-space in Cranleigh. Over 60 people helped-out in the event, with participants across age groups working alongside each other. Cake will be back on the COPSE events menu, as restrictions ease! Thanks to Woodland Trust and Marc Windust (of Weymouth) for supplying hedging trees for this event.
