I am still on quite a high following Wednesday’s planting. It was lovely to see so much enthusiasm – and no hanging back on the planting! We are extremely grateful for the help and support provided by you and Gareth, and especially all the research on the Bramshott Rectory.
Thank you for the maps and information on the fruit trees, that is going to be so useful for the future.
We’d love to have the recipe for Gareth’s apple brew – it was absolutely delicious. Thought you’d like to know that the remaining cakes were taken over to the Millennium Hall for the team (MAD company) putting on the pantomime.
Looking forward to working with you in the future; hopefully we can find some more space to extend the orchard.
JK, Chair of Parish council

It was a really enjoyable couple of hours putting in the trees in the sunshine. Let’s hope the trees do well!

Thanks so much for all your hard work in transforming this neglected and unloved area into a community asset. It looks so lovely now and will only improve!

COPSE talk was fascinating and covered many aspects from the ecology and science side of Orchards, to history and tradition, to Biodiversity net gains, to Community and how to set up your own Community Orchard to mindfulness and well-being. 23 people attended and it was a very interested and engaging audience. Many of the audience complemented COPSE talk including a group of staff from RHS Wisley and Leisure & Parks Wardens from Guildford Borough Council.

'‘Honestly I was worried about looking forward on these trees, what would the council do with it because this ground is going to be useless for growing anything even if they grubbed the trees up and who wants all these cider apples anyway? So to a degree your group has given me a light forward there that somebody will carry it on. Like many of these things it's alright all the time you've got the time, the interest and the energy - the interest is there, maybe the time is, but the energy is not. So that's really where we are - a chance meeting with you down The Star in Godalming worked out well very well and that is the story of where we are now'.

Thank you for all your hard work today, helping to preserve the memories of past residents of our lovely village. I will look forward to seeing the daffodils blooming again after all the new homes have been built.

Thank you for a lovely apple-pressing day last week – I hope you were pleased with how it went, because all our volunteers were.

Brilliant work, connecting with communities and giving them a chance to express their love of nature now and long into the future!

Just a quick note to say thank you for last Friday. The team really enjoyed their day and were pleased to be able to help with the orchard and hedgerow planting.
