Claygate’s Allotment Orchard Collaborative Planting Event and Castaway Apple Tree Give-away

COPSE provided Claygate Pearmain apple trees for Vale Road Allotment in Claygate, planted as an espalier boundary feature for the car-park and Telegraph Lane Allotment for a bee-keeping collective. Thank you for the funding from Claygate Parish Council, Surrey County Council, Railtrack and the Tree Council for making this event take place. Special thanks also to Tom Nancarrow of Adam’s Apples who provided us with 20 heritage apple trees for Claygate residents, replacement trees for Warlingham Forest Schoolers Orchard, several trees donated to other Community Orchard spaces in Surrey and five trees saved for a planned Surrey orchard-space near Godalming.
