Queensway Community Orchard, Cranleigh, Apple Day

​Cranleigh residents came together for an Apple Day, supported by the National Lottery Community Fund, Waverley Borough Council, with fruit supplied by Waitrose and National Trust Swan Barn Orchard. Residents were offered to provide feedback on what they wish to see at the Orchard. During the Apple Day a new bug hotel was assembled by residents and fresh apple juice was made using a hand-press supplied and manned by Phil from Cranleigh School. As well as over 40 residents attending the event, three local Cranleigh Councillors also visited and support this Community Orchard … formerly a derelict, fly-tipped, unusable site. ​
