At the end of January start of February, we had a Puttenham Orchard double-header task. On 30th January HALOW and Surrey Hills helped COPSE and Puttenham Parish to plant a final row of six fruit trees to complete the orchard planting for Jubilee Field Orchard, supporting a total of 17 fruit-trees. The following week on 4th February the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust Tuesday-team helped with clearance of bramble-scrub from around the newly created Hog’s-Back Pond as well as removing dogwood saplings and huge piles of ash dieback deadwood from the chalk-downland and the annual vegetation clearance at School Pond.
