A Week of March Maintenance

COPSE winter maintenance tasks continued into March with pruning trees and strimming back the bramble and dogwood on Hogs Back orchard, to reduce the scrub's vigour. Then a week of manic maintenance before leaf-break: pruning at Liphook PC's Fletcher's Field; ARC Trust pruned and created a lovely hazel stake composter at John Steere's Enton Orchard, Witley; we helped Sam and Dave spread manure under the National Trust Swan Barn fruit trees, earthed-up root-stock and boxing-up cider; ​pruning and fence repairs to Grayswood Forest School Orchard; and finally pruning and meadow maintenance at Parson Green for Waverley Borough Council and residents.
