Linking-up with Haslemere Conservation Groups at Museum Earth-day

In April COPSE was involved with a second Earth-day at Haslemere Museum, which was well advertised and attended this year by the general public. Our friends included Transition Haslemere; Haslemere Biodiversity Project; our Natural History Society; Guildford Swift Project and the Churches. Four or five churches have conservation projects in and around Haslemere, including St. Bart’s with a mini-orchard-space created by Peter and the Den last year.

​We also attended a lovely walk of enlichenment by Dr. June Chatfield of Gilbert White Museum, who introduced us to lichen in Swan Barn Orchard, including some interesting specimen growing on our fences....
