This year COPSE was at Lion Green Orchard for Green Week, with resident Hilary Neilson, for weeding, mulching and watering the trees, as well as strimming back the brambles to the rear. Then on 10th June Haslemere Biodiversity had a Wildlife Gardening Launch event, with talks from Surrey Wildlife Trust on simple ways to encourage wildlife into your garden. Gareth talked about creating features to encourage reptiles and amphibians into garden-spaces, including a log-composter installed the same day for slow-worms in a garden in Selsey and even tiny ponds can be great for amphibians ... features to put into orchard-spaces!
